Prefer to Have Us Guide You?

Thank you for your interest in Montana DECA. DECA works with you to make your job easier and your curriculum more interesting by providing programs, projects and classroom activities that help develop students’ leadership, career and social skills. We are excited to have you as a part of our team, and are here to support and aid you through the chartering of a local association of DECA. We recommend you take the following steps to begin the process:

1) Recruit Interested Students
A minimum of ten members is required for chartering.
please use the advocacy tools and recruitment
strategies on this website to aid you in the process.

2) Meet with School Administration
You will need district approval to charter your local
chapter. After obtaining student interest, meet with
your local administration for approval. Consider using
the advocacy tools available for download to aid you in
      the process.

3) Contact Montana DECA
Please contact State Director, John Stiles at
jstiles@mtdeca.com, where the next steps will be
explained and a detail plan will be drafted for your
      success.

4) Conference Call
Montana DECA will schedule a time to speak with you
about the next steps in the chartering process, setup

your communication pipelines, and orient you to the
      association.

5) Plan Activities
Begin hosting chapter recritment and development
activities. Actively engage in DECA's Professional
      Development Opportunities, and participate in
Montana DECA's active Program of Work.
